Washington-Morgan Communtiy Action is seeking sponsors and donations to help make the holidays special for children and families that will apply for the 2001 Secret Santa program. In its sixth year of coordination, the Secret Santa Program has seen large increases in the number of families requesting assistance in providing Christmas gifts for their children. Many families, for a variety of reasons, are unable to find extra money to celebrate the holiday season. Through the donations made, the Secret Santa program is able to buy toys, clothes and food for children and families who would have otherwise gone without. Residents and businesses willing to sponsor a child or familiy will be provided with the names, sex, age and sizes along with a wish list of three items. Those who do not wich to sponsor a spcific child or family can make cash donations or purchase toys. Donations received enable staff to purchase gifts for children that are not sponsored.
